Spring St. Social Society is a membership club that brings people together in unexpected spaces. Our gatherings take the form of coursed dinners, immersive theatre, cultural salons, or anything else we dream up. These gatherings bolster the creative culture in New York, Los angeles, and cities across the United States.

Amy Virginia Buchanan
Co-Founder and Artistic Director

Amy Virginia Buchanan is a singer/songwriter and avant garde theatre artist. Her style is influenced by a midwestern upbringing, spanning most of the middle of the country, as well as intensive training in classic theatre and clown/variety arts. In New York, she has spent time as a director, performer, writer, curator, and producer at various theaters, mostly in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Spring Street Social Society allows for Amy to combine her expertise in the arts with her experience in hospitality, the front and back ends, as well as management, to create a holistic experience for their audience. She resides in Fort Greene and her artistic activity can be found at amyvirginia.com.

Patrick Janelle
Co-Founder and executive Director

A native of Colorado but dedicated New Yorker, Patrick made his way to Manhattan by way of Florida, California, and Germany. While in LA, he moonlighted performing Shakespeare on canyon-side stages and taking on bit parts in Hollywood blockbusters. From street performance in Los Angeles to sampling artisan spirits in the south of France, Patrick's relationship with entertainment, food, drink, and culture has evolved into a lifelong passion—a passion he brings to each of his Spring St. Social Society projects. In the in-between moments, you can find Patrick riding his bicycle across the city or enjoying his daily cortado at a neighborhood coffee shop. He resides in Nolita and Instagrams @aguynamedpatrick.
